Businesses – fund an AED in your community
If you are an employer or an employee, have you considered placing a public access defibrillator at work? A public access defibrillator will not only safeguard your colleagues or employees, but it will also provide life-saving equipment for people in your community.
How will my business benefit from funding an AED?
- Positive exposure – Placing a defibrillator under Hearts and Goals will create positive media coverage for your business; protecting your workplace and community.
- Gain new customers – The funding and placement of a public access defibrillator can help your business reach out to potential customers through the promotion and organising of CPR and defibrillation training events.
It’s a win-win situation!
Case study: In Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, Alex Graham, owner of Prontaprint, funded the placement of a public access defibrillator outside his business in the centre of town.
Alex Graham: "We are proud to be involved in introducing the first AED to Stratford-upon-Avon and, with the continued support of residents and businesses, we hope this will be the first of many to be placed in and around the area."
Help save a life outside of working hours
Making your AED publically accessible, will ensure you continue to protect your community outside of your business’s core working hours.
Public access defibrillators give 24 hour access so that life-saving equipment is available to anyone, whatever the time of day. AEDs should ideally be housed in secure, weatherproof, heated cabinets on the exterior walls of buildings such as post offices, village halls, sports centres and other visible places in the community.
Placing a defibrillator outside your business will ensure that the time between collapse and defibrillation will be minimised; increasing survival rates and improving the long term health of the victim.
If you are a business who would like to fund the placement of a public access defibrillator in your community or at a sports venue, please get in touch with Defibs Save Lives.
