Heart To Heart: CEO Message
We are very proud to present our
First ONLINE Patient Education Platform
No need to travel - No need to book accommodation - No need to worry about social distancing
What a tough and challenging time it has been for all of us.
At the start of this year, we were well on our way to planning for another action-packed Patients Day. We all know what happened next — the COVID-19 pandemic hit. We did not know whether to cancel or to wait to see what would happen. Back in March, we had no idea when, or if, things would “get back to normal”.
However, we were determined to hold a Patients Day regardless of whether we could hold a physical meeting. That is why we were so proud to launch our virtual Patients Day on Sunday 27 September. We felt that it was incredibly important that you continued to have to access to the education, information and support you need to manage your condition. With talks from world-renowned experts, our virtual Patients Day provides this support. It has an array of presentations to help you better understand and manage your condition.
We hope that the resource will be of help and support to you all, and with so many unanswered questions regarding the pandemic, we have ensured that there are several talks on how COVID-19 may affect your condition.
The platform is open for 12 months, so if you haven’t had time to register, don’t worry, it’s not too late!
We understand how difficult life is during the pandemic. At our expense, we have reduced our usual registration fee from £35 to only £10, which includes a full year of access to EVERY presentation from your smartphone, tablet or computer.
While we continue to update and improve the platform, we are now also turning our gaze towards Global AF Awareness Week, which will take place from 16 to 22 November. It is more important than ever during this difficult period, when visits to healthcare professionals are limited, that people continue to be aware of their heart rhythm and have the tools to manage their condition. We have lots of exciting things planned for this event, so stay tuned.
Don’t forget, our online Patients Day platform is now open and will be available for up to 12 months - To register, click here.
