STARS Healthcare Pioneers Report - Showcasing Best Practice in Syncope 2022
Submit your case study today!
We invite you to submit a case study that shows an excellent example of innovative and effective syncope and Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTs) services, which can be used to inspire others to improve care standards for patients with syncope and/or PoTs around the world.
The STARS Healthcare Pioneers Report was launched in 2020 in remembrance of Dr Adam Fitzpatrick — a world renowned syncope expert — who sadly passed away at the beginning of last year. The report recognises best practice in the identification, diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with syncope and is used as a benchmark to improve services and care for patients with these debilitating conditions.
Each Case Study must have:
- A title (max 25 words)
- An author or group name, location & country.
- A text submission of no more than 400 words.
- An appropriate image to accompany the case study.
Please structure your case study as follows: an introduction, brief outline of service, care pathway and/or treatment; results; and conclusion. The conclusion should include implications for patient/service benefits.
An international panel of judges, including Professors Robert Sheldon and Richard Sutton, will review the case studies and will be particularly looking for approaches that put the individual needs of the syncope patient at the centre of care. The winning case studies will be announced during World Heart Rhythm Week 2022 with the winning teams receiving a certificate. Additionally, their centre will be listed as a "Centre of Excellence".
